The Tenacious Mission
Tenacious Tennis Academy is driven to grow the sport by increasing access to premier tennis opportunities in San Francisco. Tenacious Tennis offers private and group instruction to players of all ages and levels.
At Tenacious Tennis Academy, we help players cultivate a passion and respect for the sport. We aim to inspire our pupils to confront challenging experiences through competition and achieve growth as people and as tennis players.
Philosophy: Compete to Grow
“Tennis has given me so much and I feel a sense of purpose when I help young athletes recognize and reach their potential on and off the court.”
—Jesse Inghelram
Core Values
-
Growth
We believe that every player, regardless of age or skill level, has the potential to improve and achieve their personal best. Our coaches are dedicated to fostering a growth mindset in our athletes, encouraging them to embrace challenges, learn from mistakes, and celebrate progress.
-
Integrity
Integrity is woven into the fabric of our program. We believe in playing fair, respecting opponents, and upholding the highest standards of sportsmanship. Our coaches model honesty, accountability, and ethical behavior both on and off the court, instilling these values in our players. We emphasize the importance of integrity in all aspects of life.
-
Teamwork
Teamwork is a fundamental pillar of our philosophy. We believe that tennis, while an individual sport, thrives on collaboration and support. Our players learn the value of working together, cheering each other on, and celebrating collective successes. We foster a team spirit that extends beyond the court, creating a sense of belonging and camaraderie among our athletes.
-
Respect
Respect is the cornerstone of our community. We believe in treating everyone with dignity and kindness, regardless of their skill level or background. Our coaches model respect for players, parents, opponents, and officials, creating a positive and inclusive environment where everyone feels valued.
-
Tenacity
At Tenacious Tennis Academy, the name says it all. Tenacity is not just a word, it's the driving force behind our athletes' success. We believe in the power of perseverance, grit, and never giving up, no matter the obstacles. Our coaches instill this value in our players, encouraging them to push their limits, embrace challenges, and learn from setbacks.
-
Safety
At Tenacious Tennis Academy, safety is paramount. We are committed to providing a secure and supportive environment where all players can learn and grow without fear of injury or harm. We prioritize proper warm-up and cool-down routines, emphasize safe technique, and maintain well-maintained facilities.
